After cresting at Erie, 8445 west now starts rolling downhill at Jean. The train is stretching across the desert along side Las Vegas Blvd.

UP 8445 helps haul M-ROWC out of Las Vegas valley winding around the mountains on the south side of sin city above the community of Sloan.
